600.000 iphone 4 σε 1 μόνο ημέρα κατάφερε να πουλήσει η Apple καταρίπτοντας τα ρεκόρ το ένα πίσω απο το άλλο και γονατίζοντας κάθε online σύστημα παραγγελιών. Το iphone 4 ξεπέρασε ακόμη και τις προσδοκίες της ίδιας της Apple και έβγαλε knock out την ΑΤ&Τ αφού ο τηλεπικοινωνιακός πάροχος σήκωσε τα χέρια ψηλά, κλείνοντας ολοκληρωτικά το σύστημα παραγγελιών αφού ξεπούλησε όλο το απόθεμα.

Πλέον η παράδωση των παραγγελιών έχει μετατεθεί στις 14 Ιουλίου. Επιπροσθέτως η Apple εξέδωσε το ακόλουθο δελτίο τύπου ζητώντας συγνώμη απο όσους ταλαιπωρήθηκαν προσπαθώντας να παραγγείλουν το νέο iphone 4.

CUPERTINO, Calif., June 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — Yesterday Apple and its carrier partners took pre-orders for more than 600,000 of Apple’s new iPhone 4. It was the largest number of pre-orders Apple has ever taken in a single day and was far higher than we anticipated, resulting in many order and approval system malfunctions. Many customers were turned away or abandoned the process in frustration.
